The Nike ZoomX AlphaFly 3 "Prototype" is a colorway of the performance running sneaker designed to look like a prototype sample. Worn by long-distance runner Kelvin Kiptum during his record-setting performance in the 2023 Chicago Marathon, the AlphaFly 3 features design elements from its predecessors. The upper has an ultra lightweight Atomknit construction that is matched with Zoom Air pods in the forefoot for optimal performance and energy return. An oversized black Swoosh appears on the lateral side of the profile, and a handwritten-style series of numbers is printed on the midsole as if it was a sample pair to enhance the “prototype” theme.
