Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in late spring/summer after last frost in a warm, sunny location. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Train to climb a vertical support. Harvest pods while still smooth, tender, and about the diameter of a pencil. This type of bean is used in the popular Szechwan dish Dry Fried Beans. Try in recipes that use snap beans.
