Product Description For the WMF Vitalis series, designer Peter ramminger drew his inspiration from oven racks. While this completed part of his task, namely to make roasters more functional, he was still left with the challenge of making them more innovative. Thankfully, TV chef johann lafer came up with the brilliant idea of incorporating a thermometer in the glass lid to enable the temperature to be controlled without lifting the lid. The Vitalis series includes a roasting pan as well as an aroma steamer in various designs. The stainless steel roasting pan with glass lid is ideal for browning and stewing on the hob or for casseroles in the oven. The aroma steamers made from easy-care cromargan are designed as little hob steamers. While the liquid boils below, the ingredients cook in the rising steam above. For single-person households, has created the 3.5-Litre Vitalis compact, which is ideal for small portions. Aroma steamers come with a conventional lid or a lid with a silicone sealing ring. Matching accessories include steaming racks, steamer inserts and two different-sized porcelain dishes for small vegetables, puddings and flans. All Vitalis products feature stay-cool handles and a TransTherm universal base and can be cleaned in the dishwasher. An aroma steamer almost turns cooking into a spa experience: ingredients retain their full aroma, the work of cooks is made easier. The steamer is a closed system for the hob. Fill the rectangular-shaped lower part with a small amount of water or stock and lie the ingredients side by side on the steaming rack. A glass lid creates an airtight seal on the little steam cooker, while an integrated thermometer reliably measures the temperature. Now you can take a break. When the water begins to bubble, the steam rises. Fish, meat, vegetables cook without coming into contact with the water. Nothing burns our dries out and most of the vitamins are retained in the steam. A porcelain insert also makes flans or puddings possible. Cook assist, the optional digital cooking assistant controlled by an app, uses a sensor to monitor the inside temperature and signals when all ingredients are perfectly cooked.
