The Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly is a replacement part for your refrigerator's ice maker. The part includes the ice mold and the control device. The ice maker receives water from the water inlet valve and then holds the water in the ice mold until the water freezes solid, then automatically ejects the ice and refills to continue the process until the ice storage is full. This replacement part is designed to be used with select refrigerators, including Whirlpool®, Kenmore®, Maytag® and JennAir®; check to see if your model number is compatible. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience.
