VMS RACING Brand 14-piece, PREMIUM QUALITY, C5 Lowering Kit will lower the ride height of your 1997 through 2004 C5 Corvette up to one-inch in the REAR and up to 1.5 inches in the FRONT WITHOUT changing the ride quality of your vehicle. This kit is designed to replace your spring end bolts and bushings in the REAR and the two spring retainer bolts in the FRONT on your ‘97-’04 C5 Corvette. The benefits of lowering the center of gravity on your C5 Corvette are LESS ROLL, BETTER HANDLING and BETTER CORNERING. The VMS Racing 14-piece kit is a COMPLETE KIT to lower your C5 FRONT and REAR END suspension. The set includes PREMIUM QUALITY, Grade-8 Bolts, Heavy-Duty Polyurethane Bushings, Heavy-Duty washers and Nylock nuts for the REAR. The FRONT part of the kit offers TWO CNC-machined STAINLESS STEEL BOLTS with WRENCH FLATS, mated with an ARTICULATING FOOT for smooth operation and attached to a DELRIN FOOT PAD. This design, unlike steel ones with fixed welded non-articulating foot pads, offer years of CORROSION RESISTANCE, SMOOTH SUSPENSION TRAVEL, ARTICULATION and WHISPER-QUIET operation. They are a DIRECT FIT. NO MODIFICATION to the STOCK COMPONENTS is required. For the rear portion, YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE BUSHINGS TO DO THIS JOB CORRECTLY. This Kit INCLUDES ALL necessary BUSHINGS. The factory bushings on your C5 are close to 20-years old, DRY-ROTTED and NO LONGER SERVICEABLE.
