Vintage Silverplate Sugar Basket

A lovely traditional silverplate handled basket, English-made, displaying a graceful rounded bowl set upon a flared pedestal foot. The body is decorated with a continuous band of stamped lobed ornament, giving the piece a refined neoclassical character. A shaped swing handle rises above, allowing the basket to function beautifully for serving sugar cubes, sweets, nuts, or as a decorative bridesmaid or flower basket.
