For sale is a Vintage Russian Folk Art Wooden Pyrography Handcrafted Painted Round Trinket Box -
The main technique is pokerwork, also known as pyrography, which, as a decorative element, has been around for nearly 500 years. The main ornamental composition is drawn in the wood with a heated poker or needle. The picture then is painted, and can be simple or a complex, using few or many colors. Finally, the finished product is covered with several coats of lacquer.
Condition: It is pre-owned and in very good condition with no chips to the wood and a very tiny paint chip, pictured.

3-1/2" across in diameter x 1-3/4" tall with the lid on.
