The peach in China symbolizes youth and longevity and is traditionally knows as one of the "Three Blessed Fruits". The story is that the queen mother of the West (Xiwangmu) grows peaches of immortality in her garden and every three thousand years she gathers together all the immortals so that they eat the ripe peaches and it makes them young again. Which makes this the perfect special gift for a landmark birthday. But the peach is also considered to be lucky and that makes it the perfect special present for a wedding, a graduation, a new job, a new house…or even to yourself - don't we all need some extra luck?
