Vintage NOMA Plastic Neon Star #126 MCM Christmas Tree Topper - Works (351)

Vintage plastic and metal star, about 9" wide, made by NOMA Electric Corp in the 1950's. Designed for indoor use only, it can be used with the bracket as a tree-topper or without the bracket to hang the lighted star in a window. The 5-pointed Christmas star is made from clear plastic (Lucite?) and metal that has been coated with ground glass snow. The 110v bulb is pushed in from the back side (and attaches the bracket as shown). The light shows through the star-shaped opening on the front of the star and transmits through the Lucite to light up the edges of the star. The star originally came with a clear bulb for a white star, but you can change to colored bulbs (which I have included) to get different colors as shown. Includes the original counter display box (9" x 9" x 2"), although the box has a lot of wear and repairs. The Christmas star works and is in good used vintage condition - it will make a great addition to your mid-century modern Christmas decor.
