The Star Mark indicates the Coiffe factory in Limoge France from 1891-1914. LS&S Limoges France mark was used by Lewis Straus and Sons from the 1890's to the 1920's and indicates works that were imported to America. According to Limoge history, being this particular piece has both markings and is not signed it may have been produced in the Coiffe factory then shipped blank and hand painted by an American artist.
The intricately designs of pink and white bouquets of flowers, are surrounded by green border with Rococo gold gilding vine of blue flowers. The outside edge is also heavily gilded. It measures 6 1/8 in diameter and is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or crazing.
