Vintage Handmade String Quilt 84 x 65
This colorful quilt was hand-pieced mid-20th century (circa 1940s1950s) using an incredible variety of feedsack and dress cotton fabrics. The quilt features a lively string/strip quilt pattern pieced diagonally, with vibrant novelty prints, plaids, geometrics, and florals.
The quilt is backed with blue striped ticking and gingham, a wonderful authentic touch showing the Depression/Post-WWII resourcefulness of using every available scrap.
