The Special Operations Group, established in 1971, is the USMS’s specially trained, rapidly deployable force. SOG operators handle the most complex and sensitive missions worldwide in support of the Marshals Service and the Department of Justice.
This subdued tactical patch features the lightning bolt “SOG” insignia with U.S. / M.S. tabs, worn on field and combat uniforms.
This example comes with direct provenance from the personal collection of a U.S. Marshals Service SOG Task Force Commander, a veteran of major national operations including Ruby Ridge, Operation Just Cause, and the 9/11 response.
