This Spears adapter pipe fitting, in white, is made of schedule 40 PVC and has a barbed insert end connection and a spigot end connection. This adapter fitting connects pipes or fittings with different end types, diameter, or materials. It has a barbed male insert connection for fitting into a flexible tube on one end and a male spigot connection for fitting into a female unthreaded pipe on the other end. The barbed end allows a quick connection to tubing and the spigot end has the same diameter as the pipe it connects to, minimizing turbulence and creating a tight seal. This schedule 40 (standard wall) fitting is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) for corrosion resistance, high strength, and less weight than fittings made from metal.
