SPAX Decking Screw 5.0 x 44mm A2 Stainless Steel for Wooden Structures on Aluminium The new solution for wood floorboards on aluminium. The fixing thread reduces creaking noises in the timber construction. Sturdy sheet metal double-speed thread for better grooving and higher flank cover. Drill point for aluminium profiles with a wall thickness of up to 3.0 mm without pre-drilling. Very low installation height of the overall terrace structure of at least 46 mm possible. Step 1: Wood species-dependent pre-drilling of the floorboard with HSS drill bit diameter 5.2 mm. The aluminum profile must not be pre-drilled. Step 2: Screw the patio screw with SPAX-BIT T-Star plus T25 and screw-in sleeve, flush. Result: flawless appearance, no splicing and no wood warping. Bolted connection can also be removed again without head breaks. Recommendation: Use of SPAX Air Ventilation bars between the cover board and the aluminium profile.
