This is a SONY BE-9H cassette eraser.
By passing a recorded cassette tape through this unit, the recorded content will be erased and you can record again.
No batteries or power supply are required.
While you can overwrite recordings on a cassette, the previous recording may still be faintly audible. Therefore, it is recommended to use a cassette eraser to demagnetize the tape before recording for a more reliable result.
