Shure MX400DP Small Desktop Base

The Shure MX400DP is a microphone base that rests on a desk or podium and gives Shure MX405, MX410, and MX415 gooseneck microphones a mounting point that feels stable while remaining discreet. It arrives ready to plug in, with no additional hardware required.

An XLR cable that is 6.1 meters long and permanently attached runs from the rear of the base, so you can reach a mixer, interface, or digital signal processor without adding extensions. This simple, direct connection keeps the signal path clean and helps you finish cable runs under tables or through lecterns with minimal fuss.

On the top panel you will find a switch that can be programmed for push to talk, push to mute, or other logic-controlled modes. The same logic interface also drives status LEDs and allows remote muting from an external control system, giving installers flexible options for boardrooms and meeting spaces where visual feedback and central management are essential.

A low cut filter lives inside the base to roll off rumble and handling noise before it ever reaches the mixer. Shure’s CommShield technology works at the same time to block interference that often sneaks in from mobile phones, two-way radios, and other RF sources common in crowded venues.
