You can swap hard drive in and out of the drive bay without restarting your system.Instead of a slow tape cartridge, you have full performance of a hard drive. The drive enclosure, comes in a compact foot print slightly larger than a VCR cassette, can also be used as an external drive.There is no switches or jumpers to set between internal and external hard drive applications.
