A couple of months ago I purchased a listing for a well-loved Dory Duck with severely matted fur on the back of her head, back of body, back of wings, and bottom. PRE-RESTORATION pictures included in listing so you can see how badly matted she was.
I have been able to give her some life back. She has been hand-washed and gently brushed while wet three times to detangle her fur. Comparing her before and after, I would say it was very successful. But the time has come for me to rehome her. Please give her a new loving home!
Her neck is a bit floppy but can stand upright, and her eyes have some wear up close. Please also note that while I was able to comb out her matting and her fur is now soft and smooth, the fur texture on her back is not the same as in front! I tried my best to capture the fur texture on camera.
