These will provide the substantially increased clamp pressure necessary for high torque muscle car or crate motor street machines operating in a lower RPM range. RAM diaphragm clutches are approved for heavy-duty street and limited competition. For full race vehicles, please select RAM Long Style clutches with heavy duty covers. The new billet aluminum pressure ring models reduce rotating weight and feature segmented steel inserts that are designed to allow expansion and contraction under severe duty loads and maintains it's shape, with minimal warpage or distortion, better than a single piece insert during extreme heating and cooling cycles. The segments are also bolted in place, not riveted, to allow the unit to be serviced at the track or back at the shop instead of having to ship it out for repair!
