Rainbow Dream schedule 40 female adapter pipe fitting is made of PVC which has excellent resistance to corrosion and scaling with high-tensile, high-impact strength and less weight than fittings made from metal. They are non-toxic, lightweight and easy to install and maintain. Installation requires the use of primer and solvent cement. They are also highly resilient. PVC Schedule 40 has better sound deadening qualities. It has a slip connection and a female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threaded connection. This adapter fitting connects pipes or fittings with different end types, diameters, or materials. It has a female slip opening on one end for sliding over a male unthreaded pipe and female NPT threads on the other end for connecting to a male threaded pipe. The slip end connects to pipes with a smooth bore for enhanced flow, and the NPT threads create a tighter seal than straight threads. It is suitable for cold-water pressure distribution systems including irrigation, pool and spa, potable water, underground sprinkler systems, and chilled water applications. Fittings are for pressure applications have high impact strength and are intended for systems that will not exceed 140° F.
