The Pz IV Ausf. G, introduced in May 1942 and produced until April 1943, was a prominent German tank during World War II. While similar to the F model, it featured significant improvements, including a 75-mm KwK 40 L/48 gun with a two-chamber muzzle brake, offering an initial shell velocity of 750 m/s. Additional 5-mm protective screens, nicknamed 'skirts', were added to the turret and hull. A total of 1687 units were manufactured. Despite its enhanced armament, it remained inferior to the Soviet T-34.
