Premier Medical Plus Silver Calcium Alginate Dressing is made of natural fibers derived from seaweed. It is designed to absorb exudate quickly. Alginates absorb wound exudates and form a gel-like covering over the wound, which maintains a moist wound healing environment. The gel-like surface also keeps the dressing from adhering to the wound, reducing removal pain. Premier Medical Plus Silver Alginate Dressing can restrain bacteria growth and reduce infection. Premier Medical Plus Silver Alginate Dressing has been tested in vitro and found to be effective against bacteria such as: Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Streptococcus pyogenes, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae.

• For moderate to heavily exuding wounds including: Surface trauma, Cavity wounds, Pressure sores, Diabetic ulcers, Venous/arterial leg ulcers, Donor sites, Post-surgical wounds
• Provides a moist wound environment that helps promote healing by attracting and retaining moisture at the wound site
• Formulated with silver, which has antimicrobial properties that help prevent infection and promote wound closure
• Alginate dressing should be folded or cut to the shape of the wound and applied dry directly. The Alginate dressing should then be covered with appropriate moisture-retentive secondary dressing such as, but not limited to, Non-woven dressings, Film dressing, Hydrocolloid dressing, or Foam dressing onto the wound.
