Pool Mate spa alkalinity up is compatible with chlorine, bromine, ozone & biguanide sanitizers. Critical to alkalinity control, this granular formula effectively raises alkalinity levels. This product is a special compound used to increase the total alkalinity in spa water. Directions for use: test for alkalinity with a reliable test kit. The desired range for total alkalinity is 80 - 140 ppm. This product helps prevent scale formation. It also prevents corrosion of metals, etching of spa surfaces, eliminates "bounce" & maintains pH at the proper level. Easy to use & dissolves quickly. 1 add 1 oz. To spa water. 2 allow water to circulate 30 Min. 3 retest water & repeat steps 1 & 2 until the desired level is reached. For best results dissolve granular products first by adding to a small plastic pail filled with water.
