The Poly Guard Crystal System provides an economical means to control and prevent corrosion and scale buildup in commercial, industrial and residential environments. The system slowly releases microscopic crystals into the water supply, typically through the Poly Guard Cartridge. The cartridge fits 10″ standard whole-house filter housings, holds 1.5 pounds of crystals, and can treat up to 30,000 gallons of water. The cartridge can be easily changed or refilled with Poly Guard crystals. Poly Guard is specifically formulated to help control and prevent the damaging effects of hard water, including scale and iron staining. By reacting with iron and manganese, it prevents the formation of scale, and attacks existing pipe scale to prevent deposits from forming again.
