Permabond 792 is a specialized cyanoacrylate instant adhesive engineered for exceptional performance on difficult-to-bond materials. This low-viscosity adhesive delivers extremely fast bonding in just 2-3 seconds on various surfaces including steel, rubber, and phenolic materials. Its unique surface-insensitive formula excels at bonding acidic surfaces like wood and plated metals, while also working effectively on standard materials such as plastics, metals, ceramics, and elastomers. With a gap-filling capability of up to 0.006 inches and impressive shear strength of 2600-3200 psi on steel, this single-component adhesive requires no mixing or heat curing. The clear, colorless adhesive maintains functionality in temperatures as low as -65°F. For optimal results on low surface energy plastics like polypropylene or polyethylene, using Permabond Polyolefin Primer is recommended.
