Consumer devices, but also many professional keyboards such as synthesizers and digital pianos as well as some small mixing consoles have unbalanced outputs. However, in order to connect them to a sound system and to overcome long cable runs without noise, balanced signal routing is required. The Palmer kyll takes care of the necessary signal balancing. Thanks to the galvanic isolation via a transformer, the kyll also eliminates ground loops; a ground lift switch is built in. This also benefits units that already have balanced outputs, as noise can occur here as well. The Palmer kyll reliably eliminates hum and buzz. The Palmer kyll is very level stable. Compared to conventional line isolators for media applications, it can handle much "hotter" input signals without unwanted distortion: up to + 20 dBu! But the kyll can also process quieter signals without sound distortion or noise, because it works purely passively with generously dimensioned isolating transformers. This makes the Palmer kyll extremely easy to use and fail-safe, as it requires neither batteries nor phantom power. Conveniently, the inputs are designed as combo sockets that accept jack or XLR plugs. Adapters unnecessary! The balanced outputs are designed as professional XLR sockets. The kyll line isolation box is a universal problem solver for eliminating hum loops. When connecting unbalanced equipment, the signal is simultaneously balanced. Whether at home, at lectures, in the rehearsal room, on stage, in discotheques or at large events, the Palmer kyll ensures clean sound without noise everywhere.
