Original Vintage Oil Painting Connecticut Covered Bridge Signed Mid-Century Art!

A mid-century vintage original oil on board painting of the Bull’s Covered Bridge across the Housatonic River near Kent, Connecticut, as painted and signed by Ethel Long (American, 20th century). I can find little on this artist other than the fact that one of her mid-century paintings of forest with stream was sold on an online auction site in the recent past. What makes this work so special is the fact that it shows the one lane Bull’s Covered Bridge very nicely. The current bridge was built in 1842 and it is a lattice truss bridge maintained by the Connecticut Department of Transportation and is only one of three surviving covered bridges in the state. The painting is in its original frame and measures approximately 22” X 27 3/4”. It is in Very Good plus condition with no chips, scratches, or dings and has written info on rear likely in the artist’s own hand. The colors are soothing and the style is impressionistic.
