Original US Zone Steiff Tabby Cat With Raised Silverscript Button

Steiff's completely adorable pre-war "Tabby" cat. She is about 3.5 inches tall, unjointed, and made from tan mohair painted with black stripes. She has amazing black and green glass eyes, a light pink hand embroidered nose and mouth, and some clear monofilament whiskers remaining. Her cream bow and bell appear original to her.
Likely made around 1948, Tabby is in good, clean condition as described and presented. She has light and gentle playwear and some generalized natural thinning to her. She was probably someone's best friend at one point in her life. She is structurally sound, totally adorable, and has a century more of love to give. She retains her ear button and original and frayed tag that says “Made in US Zone Germany”. Highly collectible, she would make an amazing gift!
