Opus 88 Koloro Blue Fountain Pen (F (Fine))

The Opus 88 Koloro fountain pen mixes ebonite and semi transparent resin for an original look shaped on a truncated shape. Very interesting, in terms of design, the transparent window on the cap that shows the nib. The particular loading system is called Eyedropper and recalls the traditional Japanese refill system where it is added to the dropper, also used in Europe since 1800, a flow stop valve that on Opus 88 is made of ebonite. To refill the pen, simply unscrew the writing unit and insert the ink into the tank with a special pipette contained in the package. When everything is screwed on, the ink is sent to the nib by acting on the back of the pen body and opening the valve in the tank. After writing, the valve is closed and the fountain pen is safely transported as the flow is blocked. You can therefore take any Opus 88 on the plane and under extreme pressure/temperature conditions without risking ink leaks and spills.
