Fuchsia, green, and purple combine with the gold and black tones of the pendant which features geometric shapes recalling Inca iconography; a symbol of the sun, the heavenly body at the core of the Inca's religious beliefs, sits at the center of the doughnut-shaped pendant which is topped with a bead painted in similar hues.About our Artist: Ubaldina (Dina) Paucar is proud of her Peruvian heritage so, as a young , she decided to study handicrafts. She learned weaving on the handloom, ceramics, painting and jewelry crafting, eventually excelling at all of them. She taught her husband ceramic techniques, and today the whole family works in one artisan form or another. 'In arts there is always something new to learn,' Dina says.
