Help your tropical plants thrive with Miracle-Gro® Tropical Potting Mix! This potting mix is specially formulated to include lava rock, a porous and lightweight material that provides the necessary drainage to support tropical plant growth. Additionally, this potting medium is designed to be less prone to fungus gnats because it does not contain compost or bark which are known to shelter fungus gnats. Use this potting soil with any tropical plant, including spider plants, ZZ plants, snake plants, pothos, croton, monstera, and fiddle-leaf figs. To use, select a pot with a drain hole and fill 1/3 full with potting mix. Loosen your plant's root ball and place it in the pot. Add more mix, and press lightly. To finish, water your plant and let it drain. Let mix dry to the touch between waterings, and do not allow plants to sit in drainage water. To avoid soil compaction and replenish nutrients, container plants should be repotted annually.
