Originally from Syria, this ancient instrument provides harmonic and rhythmic foundation to the ensemble. In the new Mein Artisan Edition mishears, we have used the highest grade hides available - selected for uniform thickness to give consistent warm tone and response. A special designed bearing edge invented by Norbert Ackermann ensures deep Dumps and crisp TAKS (treks).

• Internal Lug tuning system: tuning lugs on the inside of the shell allow players to easily change the sound and tension of the drum
• Special bearing edge: The hardwood frame of this drum features a special bearing edge that provides sharper "treks", lower bass notes and overall improved tonal response; measures 14" X 4"
• Hand selected goat head: This hand drum is equipped with a goat skin head that provides a pleasant resonance at both high and low frequency
• Thumb hole grip: the lightweight build of the frame along with a thumb hole grip makes this mishear drum comfortable and easy to play
