The Martin double-pitch, single-strand, type B sprocket is suitable for use with the 2040/C2040 chain. With a one-inch, double-pitch configuration, it is available in conveyor or drive series for standard rollers. High carbon steel has high strength and durability. Type B sprockets with a hub extension on one side provides stability and allows for the use of a keyway and set screw to attach the sprocket onto a shaft. For standard rollers, the conveyor and drive series specifications have 11 to 30 teeth, pitch diameter from 1.852 to 4.810 inches, stock bore from 1/2 to 5/8 inch, max recommended bore size from 13/16 to 2 1/4 inches, hub diameter from 1 /3/8 to 3 1/4 inches, length through bore from 7/8 to one inch, weight from 0.34 to 2.92 pounds. The hub diameters of 1 3/8, 1 9/16, and 1 11/16 inch have a recessed groove in hub for chain clearance. Face width is 0.284 inch nominal. Specially made double-pitch sprockets are recommended for use with a double-pitch chain. However, ANSI standard sprockets can be used provided they have at least 30 teeth. Since double-pitch chains engage every other tooth, they can be indexed for longer sprocket life. Indexing must be done manually on sprockets with an odd number of teeth.
