The MAKO CoilStand Adjustable Concrete Support is a stay-in-place slab support designed for precise elevation control when constructing elevated concrete slabs on metal or wood decks. The CoilStand accepts 1/2" x 6 coil rod, allowing contractors to easily adjust slab elevation using a nut and washer. With up to 1-3/4" (45 mm) of vertical adjustment, the stand quickly compensates for variations in deck elevation while maintaining accurate screed rail placement. Once secured to the deck using nails (wood deck) or tek screws (metal deck), the CoilStand supports FinCap and all JAWS screed chairs, allowing contractors to establish accurate grade before pouring concrete. Unlike traditional metal stands that can corrode when embedded in concrete, the CoilStand is manufactured from impact-resistant medical-grade polypropylene that will not rust, corrode, or degrade over time. This makes it ideal for infrastructure projects including bridge decks, elevated slabs, waterways, and industrial construction environments. After installation and concrete placement, the CoilStand remains permanently in the slab as a corrosion-resistant stay-in-place form support. Each bag includes 100 CoilStands, typically covering approximately 3,000 square feet of slab depending on spacing and project conditions.
