The KT4000 also includes a separate removable rocker switch with a 15-foot cable and "Quick Clip" cradle for in-cab or on- handle mounting--perfect when operating snow plows or other accessories. The Hand Saver Strap attaches to the winch's hook, and makes it easy to manually pay out the wire rope when the freespool clutch is engaged. The KT4000 is also available in camouflage color, perfect for the outdoor enthusiast, sportsman and camo lover. Strength and Safety to Get the Job Done When you're out on the trail, or just in the shop, you want a winch that is strong enough to move your load. However, getting that load moved safely is always the primary concern. The KT4000C is equipped with 55 feet of 7/32" aircraft-grade galvanized wire rope that winds onto a sturdy drum-centric design. A 1.6 horsepower 12-volt DC motor and 3-stage planetary all-metal gear train provide excellent pulling speed and power. The dual mechanical and dynamic braking system is designed to stop and hold the fully loaded cable, keeping it where you need it until you are ready to move again. The KT4000 also has a built-in circuit breaker, protecting the winch and your equipment if a voltage change or short circuit should occur. Color-coded wiring and detailed instructions make do-it-yourself installation easy. How to choose a winch Choose a winch model with a capacity that is at least 1.5 times the weight of the vehicle you plan to pull. This assumes a rolling wheeled vehicle, in good condition, on a hard, flat, level surface. If you plan to drag a non-rolling load, choose a winch with at least twice the weight capacity. This will ensure that you will always be able to move the load, and guarantees a long life for your winch. What's In the Box?
