The IVY Classic 8-Hole Enlarging Step Drill, constructed out of M2 high-speed steel, is designed to produce perfectly round, burr-free holes in metal, wood and plastic up to 1/8-inch thick. This bit is for hole enlarging (with an existing pilot hole) and when used together with IVY Classic 09001, you will be equipped to drill 99% of common diameters (1/8 - 1-inch). This precision ground, bright finish drill bit features a 1/2-inch tri-lobe shank which won't slip in the drill chuck and sizes laser-etched onto the bit for easy hole size identification. The cone shape of this bit adds strength and prevents bit flexing while drilling.
