The Napoletana coffee maker was born in southern Italy, where it is also known as "a cuccumella", is a landmark of Italian tradition. Preparing a coffee with Neapolitana is a rite to be followed carefully, a rite that has become a true symbol of hospitality and conviviality. This model is made of 18/10 stainless steel. The coffee from the Napoletana coffee machine is characterised by an intensely aromatic taste and a slight fullness. The ideal grind for this process is medium/coarse, not as fine as conventional moka coffee makers. The Napoletana coffee maker consists of a water tank (with handle), a filter group that in turn consists of the "shirt" and the lid, a container with spout and handle and ultimately a lid. The operation is very simple, the water is poured into the tank about half a cm from the hole (on the tank); the ground coffee is placed in the "shirt" into which the lid of the filter is then screwed. With caution, the entire filter group is inserted into the water tank and clamped. Finally, the collection container is then clamped, which align the two handles. The steam outlet from the plug indicates when the water is boiling. After turning the coffee machine, the water flows off drop by drop and flows "through" onto the coffee, which is collected with the spout into the tank. The throughput time is approx. 5-6 minutes, then you can remove the filter unit and water tank, put on the lid and then serve the coffee.
