The 2 CV was the reply to the wishes of the Citroen Chairman who requested "4 wheels under an umbrella" which '.loaded with eggs, con cross a ploughed field. without breaking a single egg". This feat was achieved in front of the cameras . So successful was this car that the delivery period reached 6 years in 1950. It continued to evolve while retaining its distinctive outline right up to the 1990s.
