First book club edition, sixth printing oversized hardcover copy of Hell, I Was There by Elmer Keith (Petersen Publishing Company, 1979). This copy manufactured in 1989. Memoir of explorer / hunter / traveler / cowboy / rancher, Elmer Keith. Richly illustrated and with photographs. Set primarily in North America, though his travels sometimes went beyond the border. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges - including chipping, creases and some tears, the larger of which have tape applied to interior side. Boards are straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding is firm and spine is straight. All pages are clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
