• WHAT IS FOS? Yacon is naturally high in FOS, fructo-oligosaccharides. a class of sugars contributing sweetness, but not digested by our enzyme pathways, so not absorbed as calories. Instead, FOS nourishes beneficial bacteria in our large intestine, the microbiome, to create healthy balance in the gut and improve digestion. FOS even helps absorption of minerals, including calcium.
