We source our honey from the Garfagnana region, located about an hour from Lucca, which boasts a dense forest of chestnut trees. This area is far from populated cities and pollution, resulting in a more intense flavor from the chestnut tree blossoms. In fact, bees thrive in environments like Garfagnana, allowing them to produce a raw, all-natural, unfiltered, and unheated honey that captures the true essence of their surroundings. It’s important to note that genuine artisan honey may become slightly dense over time. This is a good sign, indicating that it has not undergone any temperature alterations. Most importantly, it retains all of its natural and beneficial health properties. Our Chestnut Honey has a robust flavor that pairs perfectly with fresh pecorino or mild cheese.
