The Bearcat 8 is a five band, 8 channel crystal controlled scanner. This radio will scan these channels and automatically stop on a channel when a call is heard. You can also select a channel manually. Each channel features a red LED and an individual lock-out switch allowing you to skip channels not of interest at the time. The Bearcat 8 features a wood materials cabinet. Scanning is at 20 channels per second. A 3 x 5 inch speaker is built in. There is an external Motorola-type antenna jack on the rear panel. Operation is from 117 VAC.
