The Extech EX542 provides wireless connection to your laptop or PC via a USB receiver, with a range akin to Bluetooth (10 m/33 ft.). It transmits real-time data for monitoring, trending, and analysis (using the included software) on one of two available frequencies (433 MHz). Electrical professionals can now monitor and data log readings from a safe distance, and perform remote tasks more easily. For laptop users, the EX542 allows setting up the laptop at a central location and sequentially data logging readings throughout a site without relocating it. Apart from wireless data logging, the EX542 can internally log up to 9,999 readings and measure voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, frequency (with dual-range sensitivity), duty cycle, continuity, diode testing, and temperature using its Type K thermistor bead probe. It comes with double-molded test leads, USB wireless receiver, temperature probe, magnetic hanging strap, 9 V battery, and carrying case.
