This is an effective "Point of Use" excess water flow automatic shutoff valve system. It is designed to prevent excess water from flowing when a device malfunctions. Examples would be a dishwasher, a refrigerator ice maker, a toilet, a washing machine, etc.. Any one of these can suddenly and randomly either fail to shut off when it is supposed to, or a line can break, leaking a lot of water and causing a lot of damage. Water Block can be preset at time of installation to limit the number of gallons that can run continuously before shutting off. For example: a toilet is flushed and continues to run. You have left for work, so it runs all day long and you end up with a large water bill. Water Block, preset just above the "normal" usage of the toilet, would shut off when the flow exceeds the shutoff point, and you save the big water bill. Or the ice maker tube breaks behind the refrigerator and you don't know it. Water runs and ruins the floor and whatever is below that floor. Water Block would shut the water off while it is still a mop-able mess, rather than a thousand dollar damaged floor, or more. Simple installation guide and reset unit included for quick return to usage of the water device.
