This collection features both the last of the old design and the first of the new design, with both coins bearing the same date.This is the last Indian Head Penny struck in 1909 and the first Lincoln Penny also struck in 1909. These coins were made over 100 years ago.This is the last Buffalo Nickel struck in 1938 and the first Jefferson Nickel also struck in 1938.This is the last Barber Dime struck in 1916 and the first Mercury Dime also struck in 1916. Both coins are struck in 90% silver.The collection is housed in a custom display and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

• Includes: 1938 Buffalo Nickel, designed by James Earle Fraser, depicting the iconic American Bison on the reverse. 1938 Jefferson Nickel, the Buffalo nickel had long been difficult to coin, and after it completed the 25-year term during which it could only be replaced by Congress, the Mint moved quickly to replace it with a new design.
