Mi Corazon is an unusual release for Leo Records. Previous CDs by vocalist Katja Cruz were firmly in the style of improvised music but this one is a special blend of Argentinean, Brazilian and Cuban rhythms. Out of the ten tracks one is by Astor Piazzolla and one by Anibal Trollo with a third by Violeta Parra, the remaining seven were composed by Katja and the members of her band. They are an original blend of tangos, sambas, rumbas and salsas. Joining Katja are guitarist/vocalist Marco Antonio da Costa, saxophonistclarinetist Patrick Dunst, percussionist Daniel Lima and Heidi Savic on accordion.
