I purchased headphones to enjoy clear, immersive sound on my PS5, but the output and sound quality were poor when I plugged them directly into the 3.5mm jack of the official controller. The PS5 supports USB Audio Class 1.0, a standard based on USB 1.1, which is limited to a maximum of 96 kHz / 24 bit, so it doesn't work with recent high-performance DACs. This Sound Blaster Play! 3 is compatible with the PS5 standard and allows you to enjoy powerful sound.
