I made this. I no longer carry sketchbooks this large. The paper is thick and wonderful for mixed media. Think acrylic and modest amounts of gouache or glue. Drawing paper is smooth enough to write on with ink, but has enough tooth for drawing and holding up to erasing.
The covers are made from a vintage schoolbook that was destined to be shredded.
A few signatures include envelopes for collecting ephemera.
This would be a nice Christmas present for an artist in your life, or just a cool journal to keep. I’d love for it to go to a good home.
