The Cooper MS180 is a 180deg; motion sensor. When motion is detected, lights turn on automatically and then shut off after a predetermined period of time, which can be set to 4 or 12 minutes. It comes standard with three modes of operation: auto (responds to motion after dusk), dusk to dawn (stays on after dusk and cuts off at dawn), and manual (must be turned on and off by hand). This Cooper motion sensor uses an integral photo cell design that detects daylight, preventing it from coming on in auto and dusk to dawn settings.
