A Solid-Cast Bronze Shutter Dog that can be used as a decorative and useful holder for all forms of shutters. Includes mounting hardware for an easy installation that will make for a unique and wonderful addition to any piece. Because our product is solid bronze it has a higher expense than normal steel or iron hinges, however, those must be replaced over months and years, but our bronze shutter hardware will last a lifetime. Over a long period of time, if installed outdoors, the solid cast metallic bronze hardware darkens to an old-penny brown then eventually to a greenish/blue patina. These colors compliment the browns and greens in nature and do not distract from the natural beauty of the landscape.
